Update: The video from the event has been uploaded! Check it out here: https://youtu.be/kyl3kEZukbw?list=PLKdPX4KAI6_ZW5me2zj69jUr1i7zdWh-l

Drs. Kate Anderson and Margarita Pivovarova spoke at TCDC’s Mixed Methods event on October 21st.  The session included presentations by the two professors. Dr. Anderson focused on the qualitative side while Dr. Pivovarova spoke more about quantitative methods.  Both speakers explained the advantages of incorporating mixed methods into research studies for robust findings. They also suggested various books and resources to the attendees that could help in conducting a mixed method study.

After the presentations, all of the attendees talked about current projects they were working on and the group discussed and gave suggestions about how to incorporate mixed methods into each specific project. The small group discussion format allowed everyone in the room to participate and brainstorm ideas with one another.

Thanks to all who attended!
